It is vital for Parents / Guardians to be able to provide accurate and detailed information to authorities if their child is missing. Parents / Guardians should keep an ID Your Child ID card in their wallet at all times and also at home. If your child gets lost at the shopping centre or at a theme park, for example, you can immediately give the police your child’s ID card to speed up the recovery time.
We do not advise that children under the age of 12 years carry the ID Your Child ID card on them, as they can easily lose it. Cards should be carried by both parents or guardians, caregivers, grandparents, or other close relatives. However, if you wish your child to carry their ID Your Child card with them, make sure they carry it in a secure place, and not visible to others, and customize it to suit their need.
We recommend that you update the cards annually, as children grow and change quickly.
